Remains and monuments
- Barracks of POW camp Stalag VII A
Today, the former Stalag area is not a museum but an ordinary part of town, the Neustadt (new town). Between modern houses, only a few of the old prisoners and guards barracks still exist in Sudetenlandstraße and Schlesierstraße, resp. The barracks are private property and partly inhabited and can only be looked at from the outside. Vague plans of the Town of Moosburg to establish a memorial museum in one of the old buildings have not been carried out. Therefore, there is a real danger that even the last remaining barracks will disappear.

- The Stalag memorial fountain in the new town
Also on the area of the former camp is the Stalag memorial fountain close to St Pius' Church. Its reliefs were made by the French POW Antoniucci Volti.

- The Stalag memorial at Oberreit
South of Moosburg at Oberreit - some five kilometres from the camp - was the POW cemetery. Today, a cross and a memorial stone are on the site. A showcase at the entrance gives some information in German. The memorial is open every day.

Travelling to Moosburg
Moosburg can be reached from Munich by train or car in some 40 minutes. Munich airport is even nearer but there is no direct public connection. You can take the airport bus to Freising and change to the train to Moosburg. Taking a taxi is much more expensive but quicker: some 20 minutes.
