Moosburg's town hall in the 18th century and today |
The Moosburg town hall was first mentioned in 1412 and destroyed by fire in 1702. The drawing shows the Baroque town hall begun in 1718, with two storeys, a high hipped roof and an ornate ridge turret. In 1865 the building burned down again.

After the big fire of 1865 the town hall was recontructed in 1866 in the Neo-Gothic style of an Italian palazzo. On the right is St Mary's column, erected in 1890. Its Baroque predecessor was transferred to Wartenberg.
